8th Grade Night Rehearsal and Performance Information

The annual 8th grade night is an opportunity for all 8th grade band members to experience the Forestview High School Marching Jaguars. We will prepare music to play in the stands with the Marching Jags on the November 3rd football game against Stewart Cramer.

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 3RD
 
5:30-6:30 Before the Game: 

 The 8th grade band will meet in the Forestview High School band room. Please pull in to the main entrance of the school. The band room door will be open with members ready to greet you and your future marching jaguar! Dinner will be provided for our “band tail gate” before the game. It will consist of hotdogs, chips and a drink. All parents and students are welcome to come. All students will need to bring their instrument and music. All students will enter the stadium for free. Admission for parents into the game is $6.

6:30-7:00 Students will rehearse in the band room.

7:30-9:30ish During the Game: 
 The 8th grade band will march in with us and perform with the high school pep-band during the duration of the football game in the stands. They will also perform the national anthem before the game with the band. All parents are encouraged to sit together as a show of support for the band students.

Half-time: 
 The 8th grade band will watch the Forestview High School Marching Jags perform their 2017 marching band show entitled “Conquer” After the performance all students will have the 3rd quarter to visit with friends/family and get something to eat or drink at the concession stands.

After the game: 
 Students will march back to the band room and put away their instrument. Parents please pick up your child outside the band room. (Around 9:40pm in the front of the school). What to Wear Forestview school colors!! (White or Black) with jeans, tennis/athletic shoes (for rehearsal AND performance); it is also recommended you bring a sweat shirt or jacket. (Also in school colors if you have it). It may be cool so we want them to be comfortable during the game. (Dress for the weather)
