The Forestview High School Band will be sponsoring our annual mattress sale this Saturday, November 1, 2014 at the High School Auxiliary Gym.

Simmons Beautyrest and other name brand mattress sets will be sold at 30-60% below retail prices.  One of the manufacturers has won the Consumer Digest Best Buy Award and Women’s Choice Award for the eighth consecutive year. North Rowan/8th Grade Band Night

Students and Parents,

I am extremely proud of our band students. Yesterday at North Rowan the band earned 1st place Drum Major, 1st place Percussion,2nd place Guard, 1st place Music, 1st place General Effect, 1st place Marching and 1st place overall in class 2A.  The band also received a SUPERIOR rating with an overall score of 91.2. We had the second highest score of the day.

This past Friday night the band held our annual 8th grade night.  We had 60 plus middle school students represented from Southwest Middle and Cramerton Middle. Our students were a class act.  I am so proud of their accomplishments this weekend.

This week the band will travel to Hunter Huss for an away football game.  Call time is 6:00pm.  Attire is grey polo/blue jeans/closed toe shoe/sweatshirts/jackets.  


Again I am extremely proud of all of our band student.  Keep up the great work!

Football game tonight 10-24-14

Students and Parents,

Tonight there is a home football game. It is also our 8th grade band night.  We will be holding a "band tailgate" from 5:30pm-6:30pm for our 8th grade students and parents.  All high school students and parents are welcomed and encouraged to join.  

All high school students need to be dressed in their uniform by 6:30pm. (grey polo/shorts under uniform)

 6:30-7:00 All 8th - 12th grade students will warm-up in the band room. 

Tonight the band will be performing their show at half-time. 

Call time for NORTH ROWAN 10-25-14  will be 2:30pm (show shirt/ band shorts/uniform)

8th Grade Night Friday 10-24-14

Students and Parents,

This Friday is a home football game vs. Ashbrook.  Also, we will be hosting our 8th grade band students on Friday. We will have a band tailgate before the game starting at 5:30pm in the band room. All the information is posted below.

5:30-6:30 Before the Game :                                                                                                           The 8th grade band will meet in the Forestview High School band room.(look for signs near the main entrance off of 274)  Dinner will be provided for our “band tail gate” before the game.  It will consist of hotdogs chips and a drink. All parents and students are welcome to come.  All students will need to bring their instrument and music. All students will enter the stadium for free. Admission for parents into the game is $6.

6:30-7:00 Students will rehearse in the band room.       

                                                                                                                                                                7:30-9:30ish During the Game:                                                                                                       The 8th grade band will march in with us and perform with the high school pep-band during the duration of the football game in the stands. They will be our guests and sit with the band in the stands during the game. All parents are encouraged to sit together as a show of support for the band students.

Half-time:                                                                                                                                    The 8th grade band will watch the Forestview High School Marching Jags Perform their 2014 marching band show entitled “Carmen” After the performance all students will have the 3rd quarter to visit with friends/family and get something to eat or drink at the concession stands.

After the game:                                                                                                                       Students will march back to the band room and put away their instrument. Parents please pick up your child  outside the band room. (around 9:40pm).
