Gastonia Christmas Parade 12-7-14

Students,


12-7-14 is the Gastonia Christmas Parade. Call time is 12:30pm in the Aux. Gym. All of your uniforms and instruments will be placed there.   Please use the entrance next to the aux. gym to get in the school not the band room door.  The buses will be parked next to the aux. gym for departure.  The parade starts at 2pm.  Estimate return time 4:30pm. For this performance you can wear your santa hats.

This Week we have several band events. Please see below:

12-1-14  NO Indoor Rehearsals after school (guard 3:15pm-5:15pm) (Percussion 5:30pm-7:15pm)

12-4-14 Cramerton Christmas Parade 4pm start (Estimate return time 5:30pm)

12-6-14 Indoor Rehearsal (guard 8:30am-1:30pm)(Percussion 1:30pm-5:30pm)

12-7-14 Gastonia Christmas Parade 2pm start (Estimate return time 4:30pm)

12-18-14 Winter Concert Call time for students 6pm Concert starts at 7pm


This Thursday the band will depart at 3:30pm for the Cramerton Christmas Parade. Parade starts at 4pm. We should return back to FHS by 6pm. (ETA)

On Sunday 12-7-14 the band will need to be in the band room at 12:30pm for the Gastonia Christmas Parade.  We will depart at 1pm towards main street. Parade starts at 2pm. ETA back to FHS is 4:30pm.

TAKE HOME YOUR INSTRUMENT TODAY AND PRACTICE

Students,

It will be required that you take home your instrument today over the thanksgiving break and practice.  Just like Math,Science, History class etc... You do have HW for band class. Every day you should be working on scales and long tones just like our warm-up. Then you should break down the music that you have in concert band beat by beat measure by measure. Also remember assignments are posted on this website as well as the whiteboard every day.  Here is a link that I think you will find interesting about practicing.
