ALL DISTRICT BAND CLINIC TOMORROW AT SOUTH POINT HIGH SCHOOL (SELECT STUDENTS ONLY)

Dear Parent or Guardian,

Your child has been selected to audition for All District Band. All district auditions are when the best student players from around the Charlotte metro area come together to audition for a spot in the All District Band. Your child has worked very hard the past couple of months preparing for this audition. If they make the All District Band they will be performing at Stewart Cramer High School on January 26th and January 27th. I will notify all students of their results within a week of their audition.

Please arrive at South Point High School in Belmont NC by 8:30AM on Saturday January 6th 2018. Once you arrive at South Point please call the band cell phone to notify Mr. Gibson that you have arrived. I will meet with you and your child to hand out audition information. (9/10 meets in auditorium, 11/12 meets in aux. gym) Parents are to stay in the warm up area waiting for their child to complete their auditions. NO PARENTS ARE ALLOWED TO BE IN THE HALLWAYS WHERE AUDITIONS ARE TAKING PLACE!

9th-10th grade student warm up area is in the auditorium.

11th-12th grade student warm up area is in the auxiliary gym.

I will take each student to the audition rooms to sign in. We will not know the students audition times until the day of the audition.

After your child has completed the audition you may take them home. Please call/text the band cell phone before you leave and leave a message saying you are leaving and your child is with you.

This is a great opportunity for your child to learn and grow as a young musician. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to call or email.
