Competition November 5th Band Beat Rock Hill SC (District III Stadium across from Winthrop University)

Parents and Students,

We have had an amazing marching band season this year.  I am extremely proud of all of our band students.  We have our last competition of the season this Saturday November 5th.  We would love to have a huge Forestview crowd at District III Stadium cheering for our Marching Jaguars! Thank you to all the parents for your help and support this marching season.  If you plan on purchasing tickets at the gate for both prelims and finals admission will be $20. Tickets for only prelims are $12 at the gate. Tickets only for finals are $12 at the gate. Children under 6 are free.

Here is the information for this Saturday:

Call time is 10:30am

Bus leaves at 1pm

Arrive at District III Stadium by 1:40pm

FHS performs at 3:30pm in Prelims

Prelim awards are at 4:15pm

(We will find out if we make finals during the prelim award ceremony.  If we make finals depending on our time we will go out to eat then head back to perform.  If we do not make finals we will go out to eat and then head home.)

Final awards are at 9:15pm

ETA back to FHS is 10pm if we make finals. ETA Back to FHS is 6pm if we do not make finals.

I am extremely proud of all of your hard work and dedication this marching season.  Keep up the great work! Lets keep pushing and strive to get better every performance. 

Again congratulation on 1st place in Music, General Effect, Percussion, Guard, 2nd place Drum Major and 1st place overall in Class 2A at North Gaston. As well as an Overall SUPERIOR RATING.

Tomorrow we will not rehearse after school. We will meet in the band room at 6pm for the makeup football game. The game starts at 7pm.  We will perform our ballad at halftime for the homecoming court and perform our pep-tunes in the stands. 

We will rehearse on Tuesday 4th period - 6pm and Thursday 4th period - 5:30pm

FRIDAY IS AN AWAY FOOTBALL GAME CALL TIME IS 6PM

Both Competitions are running on schedule today.

Call time is 11am

We perform at North Gaston at 4:20pm inside.

We perform at Gaffney at 8pm outside. (the performance time changed last night)

Award ceremony at Gaffney is at 10:50pm.
