USC BAND CLINIC FORMS AND PAYMENT ARE DUE TODAY (SELECT STUDENTS ONLY)

ALL DISTRICT BAND HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED FOR NEXT WEEK

All district band auditions have been rescheduled for next week January 14th at South Point High School. (Select Students Only) The times are the same.  Please report to SPHS by 8:30am. 9/10 students will meet Mr. Gibson in the auditorium to receive registration materials. 11/12 students will meet Mr. Gibson in the auxiliary gym to receive registration materials.  All parents must wait in the warm up areas with their child. No parents will be allowed to wait outside any audition room. Approximate start time of the auditions is 10am.

WINTER GUARD REHEARSAL TONIGHT IS CANCELLED

NYC UPDATE OF EXPENSES

NYC TRIP TRANSPORTATION FEE IS  DUE FOR STUDENTS AND CHAPERONES ON JANUARY  17th ($275)

 The $275 fee for the NYC trip is due January 17th 2017. We will be taking two charter buses for the trip.  Below is an update on all the costs/deadlines for the trip.  If you have any questions please email Mr. Gibson or Kirstin Zeccola.

Price break down for 70 people total

Transportation:  ($275 per person 2 buses are needed based on 52 students and 18 chaperones)

Hotel: $95 per student (includes tax) $24 per day. 
Hotel for chaperone is $100 per day.

NYC TRAVEL PASS: $95 (student) $116 (adult) 

Admission Includes:

1. The Empire State Building Experience 

2. American Museum of Natural History 

3. The Metropolitan Museum of Art 

4. Top of the Rock Observation Deck OR Guggenheim Museum 

5. Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island OR Circle Line Sightseeing Cruises

Only breakfast is included with hotel. Lunch and dinner is not included. 

The payment schedule is:

December 1st: $95 hotel fee is due
January 17th: $275 bus fee is due (Everyone)
February 17th: $170 tourist attractions/transit fee is due (Everyone)

Parents,

The final numbers have come in for our NY trip.  We will have 70 people traveling to NYC in the spring. We had to get two charter buses from a Gaston County approved bus company for this trip which caused the price to be higher. All updated pricing information is posted on this website as well as daily updates reported to your child. 

I am excited for our students to have this once and a lifetime opportunity to experience NYC. We will be discussing the NY trip as well as other important band information at the booster meeting on January 10th.  I hope to see you all there.

Band Booster Meeting January 10th at 6pm

Please plan on attending the band parent meeting on January 10th at 6pm in the band room. All indoor drum line parents we will be discussing upcoming events after our general booster meeting please be in attendance.

Indoor Drum Line Uniform Order

 The top has been purchased through the band boosters and had to be purchased as one big order. Below is a picture of the top. 

WINTER GUARD and INDOOR DRUM LINE 2ND PAYMENT

Please have your 2nd payment of $50 paid by February 1st. All fees for indoor will need to be paid by March 1st. Final payment of $50 will be due March 1st.

Indoor Drum Line fee total = $150

Winter Guard Fee $150 + Uniform $50 total = $200
