INDOOR DRUM LINE @ NORTHWEST GUILFORD 3-19-16

The indoor drum line will have their second performance of the season on 3-19-16. The drum line performs at Northwest Guilford High School in Greensboro NC. I am very proud of all of the student’s accomplishments in this ensemble.  Here is some important information about the event this Saturday:

DRUM LINE SCHEDULE

-          Students report to FHS at 9am

-          Students will rehearse from 9am-11:45am

-          Drum line students will car pool to the event. We will leave FHS at 12pm.

-          We will arrive at Northwest Guilford by 3pm

-          We Perform at Northwest Guilford High School at 5:30pm ($10 admission for parents)

-          Award Ceremony is at 8:15pm for Percussion.

-          Students can leave the event AFTER THEY Perform with a note from their parents.

All percussion members can leave with their ride after they perform.   If you decided to take your child after we perform please let Mr. Gibson or a staff member know. However, we really would like for the drum line to stay to watch the other percussion groups that perform later in the evening if possible. GUARD @ NORTHWEST GUILFORD 3-19-16

The winter guard will have a performance this Saturday on 3-19-16. The winter guard performs at Northwest Gilford High School in Greensboro NC. I am very proud of all of the student’s accomplishments in this ensemble.  Here is some important information about the event this Saturday:

GUARD SCHEDULE

-          Guard students will car pool to the event. We will leave FHS at 6:30am.

-          We will arrive at Northwest Guilford by 9am

-          Hair and Makeup will be done when you get to Northwest Guilford

-          Guard Performs at Northwest Guilford High School at 11:21am ($10 admission for parents)

-          Award Ceremony is at 3:30pm for Guard.

-          Students can leave the event AFTER THEY PERFORM

If you plan on staying the night on Friday please meet at Northwest Guilford by 9am. We will need to know if you will be staying the night before or carpooling up the day of.  Please have your child notify Mr. Gibson or Mr. Wade with your plans before Thursday’s rehearsal.

All guard members can leave with their ride after they perform.   If you decided to take your child please let Mr. Gibson or a staff member know. We will need a note before you leave stating that you will take your child after the event. If you have any questions please email or call.

Congratulations to the Indoor Drum Line members for receiving 3rd place and the Winter Guard for receiving 8th place this past weekend at Ardrey Kell. Keep up the great work.  You will receive information about this weekends competition by tomorrow.

Winthrop University Jazz Combos Tonight (optional)

If you are interested in going down to Winthrop University for Jazz Combos we will car pool after Jazz Band.  It starts at 6:30pm and ends at 7:45pm We should be back by 8:15pm. This is optional for anyone who wants to learn more about Jazz.

-          Award Ceremony is at 9:45pm for Percussion.

-          Students can leave the event AFTER THEY Perform with a note from their parents.
