Schedule This Week 9-21-15 - 9-26-15

Students,

Here is the schedule this week:

Monday - Rehearsal until 4 pm (Guard and Percussion until 5:30 pm)
Tuesday - Rehearsal 3:30-5:30
Tuesday - JAG CLASSIC CHAIR MEETING AT 6pm in the band room
Thursday - Rehearsal 3:30-5:30
Friday - Home Football Game Call Time is 6 pm Game Starts at 7:30 pm
Saturday - Olde English Band Competition at District III Stadium in Rock Hill SC

Saturdays call time for students will be 12pm. The buses will leave at 12:30. We will arrive in RH by 1:30pm. The band performs at 3pm. Prelim Awards are 5:15pm If the band makes finals the award ceremony will be at 9:15pm

Students will need money for concessions and dinner. The band will stop for dinner between prelims and finals. ( Students will have the option to go to Wendy's, Bojangles, Chick-fil-a, Popeye's or Sake Express)

Admission is $8 for parents and Children 4 and under are free.

SWBAT: Go over rules and regulations for each class period.
SWBAT: See white board for HW and specific practice information on what we go over in class on a daily basis.

Tickets for Fanfare 9-18-15

Parents,

You can purchase tickets at the gate tomorrow at Bessemer City.

Tickets are $6 for adults, $4 for students,(Performing band members are free) kids 5 and under free.

Saturday 9-19-15 (Bessemer City)

Students will need to report to the band room at 11am. They will need to wear their band tee shirt and some type of gym shorts to go underneath their marching uniform. Students will also need to wear black socks with there marching shoes.

We will rehearse before we go to Bessemer City. We will leave FHS at 4pm.

The gates open around 4:30pm. FHS performs at 5;55pm. All students will watch all the bands perform and will be required to take the bus back to FHS to be picked up. We should be back to FHS around 9:30pm(estimated return time)

The gate price for entry for parents will range from $5-$10 per person at preview and all competitions to follow. All marching band students are free.

All Performances are mandatory and all students will receive a grade.

Band Book By October 1st

All students will need to have their band method book by October 1st. Please get the book for the instrument you play now in the 4th period marching band class. You can go to the music store to get this book or order it online. If you have any questions see Mr. Gibson.

Monday - Shane's Rib Shack Fundraiser 5pm-8pm
Tuesday- Rehearse until 5:30pm
Thursday - Rehearse until 5:30pm
Friday No Football Game
Saturday - Gaston County Preview

Monday

We will not perform at the make up football game due to the band fundraiser. I also have a district wide band director meeting during this time which is the final push for getting bands to our Jag Classic. Drum line and all winds can perform at the fundraiser. It is optional to perform. Also, 10% of all purchases will be donated to the band from 5pm-8pm.

· ALL competitions are on Saturdays and are mandatory. Please keep all Saturdays available during the month of October. Competition Dates will be finalized by band camp.

Football Game Tonight Call Time 6pm

Students,

There is a football game tonight at 7:30pm. Call time is 6pm. Please wear summer attire. If you have your marching shoes please wear them tonight with black socks. If you don't have your marching shoes yet then wear your sneakers.
