Graduation June 10th

WE WILL NOT BE REHEARSING ON JUNE 9th 

Graduation is mandatory of all band members.  

All band students are to report to the band room at 8am to get their instrument and head straight to the stadium for the performance. 
The graduation ceremony starts at 9am and typically lasts an hour. 

The graduation performance is half of the final exam grade.  If a student is not there they will receive a maximum score of 50% on the Final exam.  I have spoken to some students who were responsible and let me know of any conflicts in advance. If there is a conflict with being at graduation a note will be required on why the student will be absent.  

All current band students in grade 9-11 have to score a 70% or higher on their final exam to come to the band camps over the summer and be in the class next school year.

NC Jazz Festival May 12th at 3:45pm

All Jazz band students will leave after 3rd period to attend Jazz MPA at Northview Middle School in Hickory NC. The band performs at 3:45pm and it is a free concert. Students should be back by 6pm.

Solo + Ensemble Festival May 13th at 10:30am
