Students and Parents,
Our band students represented Forestview High School very well at Enka this past weekend. The band earned an Excellent rating and we received 3rd in Drum Major. I am extremely proud of all of their hard work. We are making strides every rehearsal, everyday. Improvement is our focus week in and week out.
Please look at the following information about the upcoming week:
9/30/14
Informational meeting about the Jaguar Classic on October 4th. The meeting starts at 5:45pm. Parents we need you there at this meeting if you can attend. I hope to see you all there.
10/1/14
Cramerton Middle School's pep-band is performing for their home football game. Students from Forestvew High School have been invited to perform with the Cramerton Middle School Pep-band. This event is optional. If students are interested they must provide their own rides to this event. If students attend they will receive extra credit. Again this is not a mandatory event.
10/3/14
We will travel to S. Cramer High School for an away football game. This is a mandatory performance. Attire will include: grey polo, jeans/khakis, closed toe shoe. Students should also dress for the weather. (bring a sweatshirt/jacket if its cold) Call time is 6pm. Buses will leave at 6:30pm. The game starts at 7:30pm. We will arrive back to FHS around 10pm.
10/4/14
Jaguar Classic!! Everyone must help out in one of our biggest fundraisers on the year. Parents I really need your help with making this event a success. If you can spare some time on Saturday to help raise money for the band please come out. There will be more information about what the needs are for this event at our meeting tonight at 5:45pm in the band room.
The band calendar link is up and running on the website. If you have any questions please feel free to email or call. (njgibson@gaston.k12.nc.us)
